We worked with Brandon for two projects: one for drainage and later for ongoing major landscaping to develop on our nearly half acre property. In both projects, Brandon has been upfront about pricing, clearly communicated expectations, and collaborated with us in the design and creation of our dream garden.
Our property is sloped with dense clay soil, only minimal initial earthworks, and suffered from significant drainage issues. To rectify the immediate drainage concerns, Brandon quickly surveyed the lot and identified key areas of improvement, developing a comprehensive plan to address all the drainage issues. His plan not only considered the current situation, but also proactively planned for future landscaping goals. Once we agreed on a contract, the work was completed in a timely manner and exceeded our expectations.
Our second project was to change the lot from a mess of blackberry brambles to a usable garden/yard space. We provided Brandon with inspiration photos of what we hoped to create. When the quote came in above what our budget could manage, Brandon worked with us to adapt our plan to prioritize critical work and lay a solid foundation that we can build upon for future projects. Optimizing what was possible with our budget, Brandon and team went above and beyond our expectations with earthworks, hardscaping, irrigation installation, and more. The finished product is stunning and sets a solid base for all our future gardening goals.
Beyond the quality of their work, Brandon built a positive relationship with us as clients, guiding us to make well-informed landscaping design decisions. We will be working with Brandon and Grote’s Garden Design for our future gardening projects and would confidently recommend them to others.
